Picture Friday - Recently Unemployed Edition

So, if the title isn't giving it away yet, you guessed it, DH is recently unemployed again. As of yesterday.
Instead of dwelling on all the things that could happen when the main breadwinner is suddenly without a job, we have not been going there, and had a great family evening last night, followed by all you see below.
Happy Friday everybody.
Oh, and please remind me of thinking positive in case I start posting all negative things....

I don't generally like the riding position, facing him or facing away from him, but last night, I made sure to be comfortable, and sure enough, I didn't feel as self conscious and was able to actually enjoy riding him!

  1. It wasn't so long ago that He-Man was jobless. It sure isn't fun! But staying positive helps even though it's so much easier to be negative. Good luck!

    1. Thank you. Seems like we were just going down that road and were finally getting away from it, so we are not going back to how it was before when he was jobless. Positive attitude!

  2. Ah I know that feeling :( But, what's meant to be will be n all that. It will work itself out I'm sure.
I can't help laughing at the last picture, circular motion while moving up and down? Reminds me of trying to rub your tummy and patting your head at the same time. Couldn't do that either! :)

    1. Yes, exactly!
And the last pic, I really thought it was good advice, not everyone can do that position, but I am getting the hang of it, I just get so self conscious......

    1. Hi Bob,
I am working on myself to make that last one more fun! I can see the potential, but my head keeps getting in the way!
      And thank you.

  5. I'm so sorry to hear about DH's becoming unemployed. Been there, done that and it can be awfully hard to NOT let yourself get caught up in feeling like you've lost some portion of your personal identity in the process.

Re: the "riding position," though-----it has always been one of my husband's favorites, with me facing him. He likes to watch the way it makes certain.......things......bounce......up and down.

So maybe you could take some of this unexpected *at home* time to practice, practice, practice so you will stop feeling so self-conscious!

  8. Sending good thoughts your way for employment and thank you for your post I feel like that's exactly what I needed!! I've been feeling so self conscious lately and I've not yet mastered being "on top" that much. My husband loves that position because like rednakedy said it makes things bounce! lol

    1. Lol, yeah I have a hard time with that position. I always like it when we first start, but then get self conscious. Although DH likes seeing my ass, so I face away from him, which for me, is a bit easier to do. But then he misses out on the bouncing action....Dilemma!

  9. I'm sorry to hear that DH is unemployed. I cross my fingers that he will find a new job very soon and that the two of you manage to think positive and support each other emotionally in the meantime!

Once you get past the self-conscious phase (and I think you will) I have only five words for you:

  14. Sorry i'm late to this - sending lots of positive thoughts your way! I'm a big believer in "everything happens for a reason." Sometimes it takes a while for that reason to be clear, but I hope it's revealed sooner rather than later. :)

  15. Wasn't his old boss an douche bag anyway?

Like Kenzie said above, I hope this happened for a reason; moving on to something better and more rewarding in terms of work/life balance.
