The Liebster Award

Sarah over at Clear as Mud nominated me and my blog for a Liebster Award, and I have to admit, I feel very flattered. Thank you so much. That is so sweet of you, and comes at a time when a nudge like this could really benefit both DH and I.

We have been back for two weeks now, everybody got sick after I did although I seem to be the only one still not quite back emotionally. Like every time when we have had a visitor or have gone to Germany over the last few years, DH and I are constantly talking about moving there, and while the thought of it is very appealing to me, I also see all the things it would take to make that possible and feel discouraged. Anyway, thank you Sarah, for calling me back a little. :)

Here are the rules:

1. Thank the person who nominated you and post a link to their blog on your blog.

2. Display the award on your blog-- by including it in your post and / or displaying it using a "widget" or "gadget".

3. Answer 11 questions about yourself which will be provided to you by the person who nominated you.

4. Provide 11 random facts about yourself.

5. Nominate 5 to 11 blogs you feel deserve this award, who have less than 1000 followers. (Note that you can ask the blog owner this since not all blogs display the widget that lets readers know this information.

6. Create a new list of questions for the blogger to answer.

7. List these rules on your post. Once you have written and published it, you then have to :

8. Inform people/blogs that you nominated that they have been nominated for the Liebster Award and provide a link for them to your post so they can learn about it (they might not have heard of it!)

Sarah asked me these questions:
1. What is your idea of a perfect way to spend the day? Money is no object.
I have been craving for a day spend without worrying about time. I would love for DH and I to get into our van, have the children in a save place, and get to just drive and go by ourselves. Maybe go hiking, take my camera, a blanket for a picnic, and no people anywhere. (If you are in Washington and know of such a place, please email me.  :D

2. Favorite spanking implement?
His right hand, the leather paddle, his belt

3. Favorite spanking position?
Over his lap.

4. Favorite vacation spot?
Any vacation is nice, I don't really have a favorite spot. Germany of course, but its never a vacation, same for our annual family get together, which I really enjoy, but when I think vacation, I think just us, away, no pressure from anyone but ourselves.

5. Favorite type of food?
I love playing around with recipes, these include Indian, Greek, German, and Italian.

6. What do you snack on?
Bought our first big pack of strawberries this season at Costco two days ago, so I just had  a big bowl full.

7. First place you had sex?
On my then boyfriend's mattress on the floor under the eves. He had a big aquarium at his headboard.

8. Kinkiest/strangest/coolest place you had sex?
As I am approaching 30 in less than a month now, I am really starting to think I haven't had any kinky/strange/cool places I have had sex in/at. I mean sure, the woodshed, the car, our bed and any furniture in our suite are all places we have had sex. I also remember DH lying me on his dinner table when I was still the aupair and making me cum right there. Another time, I didn't want him to leave for work yet, and managed to seduce him at the top of the stairs.  :D

9. Beach or Mountains?
Mountains!

10. What kind of shoes are you wearing right now?
I am, as usual, barefoot.

11. Person or persons, blogger or not, dead or alive, you admire most?
Mh. I was a little stumped, reading this question, even asked DH, lol, but I literally can't think of anyone. At least not single people. I admire the women who work full-time and are mothers, especially those working outside the home. At the moment I feel like, I wouldn't know how to manage that. I admire people who find the energy at the end of the day to volunteer and help other people.

11 Random facts about me:

1. I just tucked in my children, I love that part of the day for two very conflicting reasons, lol.
2. I love to cook food when I am in the mood, which I was today, yet somehow managed to screw up the rice. I mean, who can't cook rice?
3. May is about to begin. I am excited. My birthday, Mother's Day, pretty, spring all make me think of it as My month.
4. I can see a third of Mt. Rainier out of my window.
5. I wish we had more D/s going on, but at the same time, I know and understand why we don't.
6. I feel so lucky to have found my job, I am thankful for it every day.
7. I have been opening doors for my cats and dogs all day today, they just can't decide on one or the other.
8. My oldest has one of her first big tests of her whole life tomorrow, I am so proud of her, she souns confident and ready.
9. DH spanked me the other morning and it hurt within just two smacks to the point of me crying for him to please stop. The funny part: Two days later I figured out why! I had laid the other way across his lap because there was too much stuff on the bed for it the other way around, thus making his left hand the spanking hand. Ouch!
10. My cat is a climbing all over my laptop to get closer to the heat as I am typing this.
11. I did my first three days a week run since the beginning of the year this past week!

  1. Random fact one is something I can relate to. I've driven up Mt Rainer, seen the glaciers, it is amazing.

    1. Mt, Rainier is always my favorite surprise for house guests. When my friends came home with me from San Fransisco, it was pretty rainy for the first few days, but then when it started clearing up, both were just amazed at the size of that real vulcano in our backyard. Yikes! :D

  2. You live in such a beautiful place.
Rice can be tricky - I've had a hard time adjusting to cooking rice in RV. Can't seem to get it right.
When we lived in a brick and mortar I used to think of getting an electronic eye on the door to let the pets in and out - we often felt like doormen.
Glad everyone in your house is feeling better.

    1. Hey Sunnygirl, who knew, I wasn't the only one having a hard time with rice, lol! Its just such a cliche in my family and actually a standard almost. Kind of like, well even she can cook rice....

Today is warm enough already for the door to be open, no electronic eye needed since we have long ago lost our screen doors to pet and human intervention.

  4. I am notorious for being the lurkey type of person because I usually have nothing useful to add. I live outside of Seattle and have seen mt. Rainer. I'm dragging Seth to Seattle for a delayed honeymoon in May and we are hoping for good weather. Well I am at least because the views are amazing when there isn't fog in the way.

See still not really useful but I can relate. : )

    1. Hi Maddie, well the weather should be perfect for your trip and we haven't had any fog in a while, it will be beautiful! And what a great idea, our delayed honeymoon was to the Bahamas, but quite honestly, I wouldn't even recommend that to people, lol.

    1. Thanks for thinking of me Sarah, and I added my email to my blog again. I think I freaked out once about receiving spam, but I really haven't had that problem.
