Picture Friday - Our Weekend Alone Edition

February is well underway, almost Valentine's Day already! I never care much for Valentine's Day, probably because we were married just a week before than and celebrate our anniversary more than V Day. Although this year it just worked out that our weekend away without children is falling on Valentine's Day, and to top it all off, the 50 Shades of Grey movie is coming out the same weekend!

DH wasn't too excited about seeing it in the movie theater, but since this book has been such a life changer for us, and it is coming out on the only weekend a year without children, I really encouraged DH to want to take me.  :D

So, without further ado, this will be our weekend!

  5. So glad to hear someone else say how the book sparked their marriage. A year ago January was when I read the trilogy, then started searching the Internet and found DD, TTWD along with all the spanking sites. My husband hasn't read it but knows it was special for me. We would prefer to see it at home together, but I'll probably end up seeing it with friends as it may be ages before getting it to watch at home. Happy Anniversary and Valentine's Day.

    1. Thank you!

That is exactly what happened for us, only I found the book before it was even published, lol. I don't even remember how I heard about it. :D

  6. Happy Anniversary and Happy Valentines Day. Love your pictures and I hope that each one of them is part of your time alone. Thank you for admitting that you are going to go and see the movie, it seems like no one wants to admit they read the book, enjoyed the book, and/or going to see the movie. I won't be seeing it this weekend but soon. And can you tell me your secret on having a weekend alone without kids. We can't seem to get two full hours.

    1. Mh, the secret is asking aunts if they want to spend time alone with their nieces and nephews. So awesome, hope you figure out something soon too.

And I honestly think the movie will be more enjoyable at home. :D

  7. Oh I am a jealous blogger-friend!! Time alone, is always a treasure. As for 50 Shades, I am hoping to find time to blog, but I too found "me" after reading those books. We had a little bit of all the ingredients with no name or identity to what we were doing or who we were. Actually hearing the D/s titles and more of the lifestyle ideals behind it all helped me to search for more and find all of you!

Those books truly changed our life. My best description is that movies in black and white can be terrific, sure, but when they're in color, they can be breathtaking. Same with our life. Nothing was wrong with the black and white picture, it was terrific. But our life in color now, is breathtaking.

ENJOY every delicious minute of this weekend- Happy Anniversary/Valentine's Day/50 Shades weekend alone!!!

    1. It's pretty funny how this one book has done it for so many people, maybe because both of the characters themselves are just starting to get it themselves. I mean even Christian seems to not have it right until he meets Ana.
We had a great time together, as always not enough time alone, but we still made sure to enjoy every moment together, and treated ourselves to two dinners out. :D
