Back home for the Rest of the Holidays

Hello everyone and thank you for the lovely Holiday wishes we received on our scheduled posts. Its always funny to see a post on my blog when I don't remember having scheduled it.  :)
I hope everyone had a great Christmas!

I sure did. :) We traveled to Germany in the middle of December, DH came a week later, and celebrated with my family at my mothers house. It was so packed. Ten people, but fun. So fun to be there, and of course, being the ones that travel there, we are usually the big deal, the reason people come. Always nice to be so appreciated.

We arrived back home last night, the neighbor picked us up at the airport, and I have been steadily unpacking our six pieces of luggage. Down to one now. Although I think I'm going to lie down first.

While gone, I was supposed to get my period on the day I left, and didn't get it. Until a week later. :( Oh well. Here's to more trying in the New Year!

I hope you all have a safe and happy New Year! (We will probably be sleeping through it, lol)

Great Online Cookie Exchange Extravaganza!

My Family's Favorite Chocolate Chip Cookies!

1/2 cup (100 grams) granulated sugar
1/2 cup (120 grams) firmly packed light brown sugar
8 tablespoons (1 stick) (115 grams) unsalted butter, cold, cut into 1/2-inch (1cm) pieces
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 1/4 cups (175 grams) all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt or 1/2 teaspoon flaky sea salt (Deb option)
1 1/2 cups (200 grams) semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup (130 grams) walnuts or pecans, toasted and chopped

Start by toasting/roasting the chopped walnuts in a pan. Let them cool (otherwise everything is super melty, still yum, but not as good).

Preheat to 350F (170C?). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
Beat the sugars and butters together until smooth. Mix in the egg, vanilla, and baking soda.
Stir together the flour and salt, then mix them into the batter. Mix in the chocolate chips and nuts.
Scoop the cookie dough into 2-tablespoon (5cm) balls and place 8 balls, spaced 4 inches (10cm) apart, on each of the baking sheets.
Bake for 16 minutes, or until pale golden brown. Remove from the oven and cool on a wire rack.
Store at room temperature in an airtight container for up to 3 days.

I found this recipe at: http://smittenkitchen.com/blog/2008/01/chocolate-chip-cookies/

Just as a disclaimer, this is not my recipe, I just love it and I am sharing the cookie joy!
And speaking of sharing the cookie joy, here is the list of everybody participating in

Time for a Joke - Typical Nasty Weather

Hi, DH here!  Happy Monday!  Julia and I had a nice weekend.  Her app says she ovulated, but that didn't stop us from having sex this morning.  I went to bed horny, and my cock was raring to go at 6:30 am.  And go we did ;).
But the weather today... reminds me of my favorite joke.  In fact, I'm standing at the bus stop waiting for the bus writing this post on my phone, so it works even better.  Ready?  OK!
This guy commutes to the park-and-ride with his neighbor, and notices he seems to hook up with a gal every single evening when they get back.  After weeks of seeing this, he finally asks him what his secret is.
"It's easy," the neighbor says.  "Just sidle up alongside and say, 'Tickle your ass with a feather?'  If she's like, 'What?!','  just say, 'Typical nasty weather.'"
The guy is really nervous (and not too bright), but the next day he decides to give it a try.  He stands at the bus stop in the rain for 20 minutes working up his courage, and then finally turns to the woman standing behind him.
"Shove a feather up your ass?"
"What?!" she replies.
"Oh well, it's a shitty day anyway."
Here's hoping your day (and your week) is NOT shitty in any way.  Even if you are suffering some typical nasty weather. :-D

Playing with Sex Toys

Maybe you have noticed the recent change on my blog: I signed up as an affiliate for this sex toy webstore. If you get a chance, check it out!

So in the spirit of sex toys, I figured I would write up a little something on what we have....

Dildo
We have several dildos. :D A simple one that doesn't even vibrate anymore just like this one. And a much fancier one. Its weird. Usually, I tend to go with less is more, but not in this case. I much prefer our fancier dildo.

Anal Toys
It took us a few years to figure out we both like anal play. And then it took us another few years together to actually admit it to one another, therefore you can imagine just how long it took for us to get an anal toy. But we finally did. An anal plug, just like this one.

Lubricant
At the moment, we are not using any lube, since it interferes with the whole baby-making, but generally we do use it. We have gone through lots of different types and I really prefer the type that gets warm and tingly, like this one. What about you?

Paddles
We have lots of paddles! Ranging from floppy to rigid ones, wooden ones, a belt only meant for spanking, and even some wooden spoons. When we first started ttwd, and spanking was a constant on my mind, I would bring home all kinds of implements, check out my implement reviews. My personal favorite paddle is this one though. We received as a gift from a reader! This is her store.

Sex Swing
We do not have one, although have heard in lengths from a friend who just wouldn't shut up about it. Seriously, he never stops, lol.
I think it looks like fun, but at this point in our lives, I can't imagine having it anywhere in the house and having the kids even just see the anchors.  :D

Nevertheless, it looks like a lot of fun. Any experience you would like to share?

Here is the link again, go check it out, although, I can tell you, its not office safe/  :D
